Sep 30, 2013· Fuel System I disagree with the methods being discussed here. IF we are talking about a system with 8 port nozzles, the normal check pressure for these ports would be 8-12 lbs. IF we are talking about a system with 16 port nozzles (dribblers) many are set with dribblers 12-17 and ports anywhere from the low 20s to 30 plus.

Dec 10, 2009· Tj there IS a loss of fuel pressure at the rail after about 10 mins, as others have said in the past. And the cranking is not excessive, after I let the fuel pump pressurize and get some juice to the rail, 2 seconds, it usually kicks right up no problem just a second crank.

Feb 07, 2014· I'm not sure if there is a check valve per say, but the fuel pump, injectors, and the regulator would all have a hand in holding pressure. The race cars that we run out of our shop drop down to 0psi in a few seconds of the pump being off, so I'm not really sure how much of an effect it would have on your starting.
